Becky Vasquez, Chief Technology Officer, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Becky L. Vasquez is the Executive Director for Student and Technology Services at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide Campus. Her responsibilities include providing strategic direction and operations of virtual student services and functional technology support for over 130 locations. A technologist at heart, Becky has become a champion for using systems effectively and supporting innovations in student services. She is co-business sponsor for the Intelliworks project and has been actively involved in the selection, deployment, support, and training for the system. Becky has been with the University for eleven years in various leadership positions and holds a degree in computer science.  She is a member of educational software corporation advisory boards and regularly participates in industry wide activities that support technology in the higher education community. 

 

William R. Hampton, Associate Vice President, Marketing and Enrollment Management, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University 

Bill Hampton currently serves as the Executive Director of Enrollment Management at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide.   An aviator since age 16, he holds a BS in Aviation Business Administration and a MBA in Aviation from Embry-Riddle.   His career has been dedicated to aviation education through the development of marketing and recruitment strategies to students around the world aimed at driving enrollments in the fields of aeronautics, engineering, management and maintenance.  Bill has extensive traditional and non-traditional student recruitment experience throughout North America, Europe, India, China and the Middle East including a two-and-a-half year stint in the United Arab Emirates with the state-owned Dubai Aerospace Enterprise and MIT’s MASDAR Institute in Abu Dhabi. 

 

Jennifer Copeland, General Manager, Demand Engine

With a background in undergraduate recruiting, higher education marketing, non-profit marketing and fundraising, and sales, Jennifer is an expert in cultivating relationships via interactive marketing channels.

An award-winning sales professional and speaker, Jennifer has created training programs tailored for higher education marketers. She is invited to speak on college campuses throughout the country and as a presenter and panelist for industry conferences throughout North America.

 

Brenda Harms, Client Consultant, Stamats

Dr. Brenda Harms is an experienced higher education administrator with a diverse marketing and admissions background. Her perspective on higher education marketing and recruitment is strengthened by her hands-on experience serving in both academic and administrative roles at a branch campus. During that time, she was also involved in the development and delivery of accelerated on-campus and online courses.

While Dr. Harms' primary interest is the recruitment and retention of adult students, her knowledge and experience has greatly benefited projects focused on traditional students and institutional marketing. She leads the firm's adult student marketing initiative, which includes Stamats' national adult student study.

Dr. Harms is active in the higher education community, serving as the secretary/treasurer of the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators executive committee and as the 2008 national conference program chair. Dr. Harms is also an avid speaker, having presented at several national conferences including CIC and CASE.

Dr. Harms received a B.S. in allied health and an M.A. in educational psychology and counseling from the University of South Dakota. She received her Ph D. in human services with her dissertation focused specifically on adult student retention.

 

Eduardo Waller de Oliveira, Founder and CIO of the Lifelong Education Institute

Eduardo Waller de Oliveira has been working in the field of Educational Marketing for more than ten years.  He has a degree in Digital Publishing and a M.A. in e-Marketing. 

The Lifelong Education Institute (LEI) is located in the San Francisco Bay Area (Mill Valley, California). LEI is the parent company to the Integrated Science Program (ISP), an accelerated college-level science curriculum enabling students to finish their science pre-requisite classes in months, not years. With the aim of expanding nationally, the Integrated Science Program is operating its maiden program in the greater Los Angeles area in partnership with Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU).

 

Stephanie Platterer, Consultant, DemandEngine and Director of Marketing, College of Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota

Stephanie Platteter brings 20 years of marketing and strategic planning experience in a variety of industries that allows her to provide unique insight into her work in higher education.

 

 

 

As an Associate Consultant at DemandEngine, Stephanie consults with higher education institutions in the areas of enrollment marketing strategy and email marketing programs with specialized expertise in strategic marketing for continuing education.  
In her current position as Director of Marketing for the College of Continuing Education at the University of Minnesota, Stephanie has integrated the role of strategic marketing into program development, recruitment, and retention activities and transformed the marketing function from a print production shop to a strategic, interactive marketing consultancy.
